Artistic Director of O-Kai Singers/Assistant Professor at Graduate Institute of Performing Arts, National Taiwan Normal University
Founder of O-Kai Singers, together with a family from the Atayal tribe in Taiwan, winning group of various domestic and international competitions and awards. O-Kai's first album received the 24th Annual Golden Melody Awards for the "Jury Award", "Best Vocal Collaboration", "Best Album Aboriginal Language", and was also nominated for "Best Album Producer", "Best Arrangement". The album also won the "Best Jazz Album" CARA award.
Mr. Lai has been invited as jury members for many domestic and international competitions, including Marktoberdor International Choral Competition (Germany), VoiceJam (USA), International Vocal Competition (Taiwan), Asia A Cappella Cup (Asia), The Sing-Off (China), Hong Kong A Cappella Competition... etc.
Founder and host of Taiwan's first a cappella radio program at the National Education Radio (Taiwan) and Bravo Radio (Taiwan), and received 4 nominations, including Non-Popular Music Radio Program Awards，Non-pop Music Show Host Awards.
Mr. Lai is now the Artistic Director for O-Kai Singers, and teaches at the Graduate Institute of Performing Arts of National Taiwan Normal University, and the Department of Applied Music of Tainan National University of the Arts.
