Junko Kamei (JP)


Junko Kamei, a graduate of the Berklee College of Music (instruments: voice and flute, major: songwriting), is a versatile musician with years of experience as a singer, flautist, songwriter, lyricist, arranger and teacher.


She has performed more than 600 shows with bands and a cappella groups in Japan, the U.S., Italy, Germany, etc., and has collaborated with and written lyrics for many artists including Monday Michiru, Tadashi Hirosawa, A Hundred Birds and the Wise Guys. She is also a founding member, songwriter and arranger of Takarabune, an award-winning Japanese a cappella group of six women that is in its 17th year.


She currently divides her time between Germany and Japan, performing and holding workshops as well as writing, recording and teaching at home.
